ME 200 - Manufacturing Process and Materials II


Credit Hours: 2

This course covers advanced subjects in manufacturing. Topics include review of manufacturing processes such as glass, plastics, composites, ceramics, powder metallurgy, machining, and automation. Other optional topics such as cost analysis, QFD, forecasting, DFM, concurrent engineering, lean manufacturing, CIM, group technology, assembly line balancing, production yield, machine-labor coupling, job evaluation, material handling, storage, and warehousing will also be covered as project. This course may also review project management, critical path method, resource allocation, optimization and PLC programming as project.
Prerequisites: MT 121 or MT 125 or permission of the instructor.
Concurrent Registration: ME 201 or permission of the instructor.
