ME 288 - Basic Electricity for Mechanical Equipment Credit Hours: 3
The course reviews basic electricity using phasor diagram to solve circuits with resistance, inductance and capacitance. Computer software is applied to solve basic electronic circuits. Theory of transformers, delta and Y connections are discussed. Theory of motors and generators are reviewed. The application of AC motors, and DC motors are discussed. Prerequisites: MT 121 or MT 125 or permission of the instructor. S (N)
