AC 211 - Alcoholism as an Individual and Family Problem


Credit Hours: 3

Study of the physiological and psychological etiologies of alcoholism, emphasizing the numerous effects of alcohol on the human body to include the central nervous system. Also included is the study of the effects of alcoholism’s presence in families throughout successive generations, and cultural aspects of alcoholism. Case studies will be utilized. Intervention strategies will be presented.
