ER 180 - Emergency Management Leadership Credit Hours: 2
The Emergency Management Leadership course is designed to provide students with the skills necessary to lead and influence others in the demanding setting of emergency management by increasing their range of skills in a variety of interpersonal areas: conflict management, use of power group dynamics, leadership and influence. Students are taught to clearly identify problems and their root causes as an important step in the process to be able to determine the appropriate type of decision-making style. Using a suggested process of problem solving, participants will be able to apply creative solutions to both emergency and non-emergency situations in an emergency management situation. Students may not receive credit for both course and PSY 211. Prerequisites: ER 150.
