AR 135 - History of Architecture Credit Hours: 3
Architecture as it developed, its growth, periods and styles.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course the student should be able to:
- understand the relationships of the various architectural styles;
- understand and recognize the primary design elements of each style and their use in architecture;
- interpret and relate the various styles and Architectural periods;
- identify and properly use terms and vocabulary relating to the history of architecture;
- research local architecture and prepare an evaluation of a selected site;
- research and present a local project; and
- use reference materials.
