AR 275 - Mechanicals for Buildings/Lab Credit Hours: 3
The inclusion of heating, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing and sanitary systems into structures plus their influence on and correlation with structural and architectural requirements. Cost estimating for the students commercial design project will be included based upon the CSI format and means cost estimating data.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course the student should be able to:
- understand and employ basic mechanical and plumbing skills into structures in correlation to residential and commercial construction projects;
- understand and produce working drawings for a commercial structure;
- use reference materials necessary for proper design applications;
- apply the necessary building codes; and
- use a computer with basic competency.
