CR 230 - Criminal Investigations I Credit Hours: 3
General objectives and qualities of a criminal investigator, history of criminal investigations, and investigative steps including preliminary, follow-up and closing, rules of evidence, interviewing techniques and body language.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- understand the history of criminal investigations;
- how to conduct crime scene searches;
- handling and marching of all physical evidence recovered; and
- development of investigative techniques.
Prerequisites: CR 170 or permission of the instructor. Concurrent Registration: CR 231 F (N)
