BM 272 - Property Management Credit Hours: 3
A course designed as an introduction to the field of property management. The course covers operations and marketing techniques for specialized properties. Topics covered include contract leases, management agreements, public relations, budgets, economic trends, financial analysis, contractor selection, compliance issues, maintenance, and marketing.
Course Outcomes Upon the successful completion of this course the student will:
- have a broad overview of the types and varieties of rental properties in the field today;
- have the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of an entry level property manager;
- promote awareness of energy and conservation opportunities; and
- develop the proper written and oral skills required to be an effective entry level property manager.
