BT 117 - Biomanufacturing Seminar


Credit Hours: 1

Students attend and participate in discussions about the industry. Students attend various tours of manufacturing and research facilities. Opportunity to meet industry professionals in human resources, quality systems, manufacturing etc. The student is also introduced to job opportunities that are available to graduated biomanufacturing students.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  • identify the skills necessary to practice in the biomanufacturing industry;
  • describe the various kinds of job opportunities available to biomanufacturing graduates, career success and advancement;
  • demonstrate an understanding of continuing education opportunities; and
  • describe what and how a manufacturing facility operates
