RA 203 - Lab/Clinical III Credit Hours: 5
During this course, the student attends the various clinical affiliates for a period of three (3) days per week for a total of five (5) clinical rotations per semester, where they undergo supervised clinical experience.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course the student will:
- identify radiation reactions and physical complications;
- manually develop a treatment chart from computer data;
- present a comprehensive patient case study;
- perform machine start-ups and daily/weekly quality assurance checks; and
- interpret, set-up and perform patient treatments.
Will also develop an awareness of each individual patient. This process will help them develop a sense of empathy and concern for the patient as they perform their clinical tasks. All clinical experiences are completely supervised.
Prerequisites: RA 150 Corequisites: RA 230 F (C)
Three (3) eight-hour days per week for 15 weeks.
