RA 203 - Lab/Clinical III


Credit Hours: 5

During this course, the student attends the various clinical affiliates for a period of three (3) days per week for a total of five (5) clinical rotations per semester, where they undergo supervised clinical experience.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course the student will:

  • identify radiation reactions and physical complications;
  • manually develop a treatment chart from computer data;
  • present a comprehensive patient case study;
  • perform machine start-ups and daily/weekly quality assurance checks; and
  • interpret, set-up and perform patient treatments.

Will also develop an awareness of each individual patient. This process will help them develop a sense of empathy and concern for the patient as they perform their clinical tasks. All clinical experiences are completely supervised.
