AU 263 - Lab for Automotive Fuel and Emissions Credit Hours: 2
Practical application of lecture topics. Diagnosis and repair of modern vehicle emission control systems.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- Identify the emission related components in a modern automobile as discussed in the lecture.
- diagnose, inspect, remove and replace, rebuild, clean, adjust, test, and repair fuel and emission systems and components.
- interpret manufacturer’s manuals and specifications.
- select and use proper tools, equipment and materials needed to perform required job tasks.
- demonstrate the use of special equipment, such as an EVAP test machine and/or scan tool in the diagnosing and repairing of fuel and emission systems and components.
