CO 150 - Principles of Contracting

A basic course in the organization, management, and operation of a construction business. Topics include key players and relationships, contract management, estimating, contract documents, scheduling, safety, business types, risk management, building codes, procurement, and inspection.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

develop a general understanding of the organization and operations of the construction industry;
become familiar with the roles and responsibilities of owners, designers, and contractors; and
understand the general concepts of undertaking construction projects.
