CO 195 - Facilities Construction Credit Hours: 3
A course covering the fundamental principles of design and installation of heating, cool air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing systems, electrical power, and lighting systems used in the construction industry. Laboratory project encompasses the physical application of the design and installation of heating, cool air conditioning, ventilation, plumbing systems, electrical power, and lighting systems.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- learn the fundamentals of technical terms and building codes used in residential and commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems;
- layout individual building components while functioning effectively in a team relating to residential and commercial systems; and
- communicate effectively through project assignments and construction document submissions.
