CP 230 - Microprocessor Applications


Credit Hours: 3

A study in elementary computer architecture and in the operating principles of currently available large-scale integrated circuit microprocessors. Support hardware necessary to connect a microprocessor to its physical environment is examined.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. convert to the hexadecimal numbering system;
  2. write a program in assembly language; and
  3. control external processes using a microprocessor.
