DA 105 - Introduction to Structured Programming


Credit Hours: 3

A non-programming theory course that emphasizes the analysis and design phases of the software development cycle.  The analysis of program specifications to determine the completeness of the specifications.  The use of various structured techniques and tools to design programs and evaluate program designs.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. analyze a program specification;
  2. determine if the program specification is complete or if pertinent information is missing;
  3. use various structured design methodologies to design a program; and
  4. evaluate program designs using various evaluation techniques.
