DA 255 - Advanced Visual Basic


Credit Hours: 4

The study of advanced programming constructs and methods using Visual Basic. Topics include advanced user interface components, database programming, object-oriented class/object creation, Windows API, Windows ASP, Windows .Net, and Windows help files.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. use advanced controls and methods to create more effective and easy-to-use screen forms;
  2. code database access programs using ADO controls and objects in combination with bound and unbound controls;
  3. create classes and objects, oriented concepts;
  4. use Windows API, ASP, and .Net with Visual Basic; and
  5. create Windows help files.
