PH 220 - Advanced Radiation Physics I


Credit Hours: 4

Radiation will be discussed and the interaction of radiation with a scattering medium. The calibration of machines will be detailed in the laboratory.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. explain and demonstrate the basic laws of nature;
  2. explain and apply the basic laws of physics as they pertain to society and the environment;
  3. use mathematical skills and techniques in solving problems;
  4. solve problems using computers; and
  5. write comprehensive answers to qualitative questions.
