CT 100 - Personal, Shop and Vehicle Safety Credit Hours: 2
This lecture/lab course will teach the students the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), the Right To Know Laws, shop safety, tool and equipment maintenance and upkeep, and vehicle safety before, during, and after repairs.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- properly Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing collision repairs;
- explain and incorporate the Right-To-Know laws in the shop environment;
- safely use the shop equipment, lifts, floor jacks, and tools used in the shop;
- perform general maintenance and upkeep on all tools and equipment; and
- implement proper vehicle safety before, during, and after repairs.
