CT 200 - Non-Structural Repair II Credit Hours: 6
This lecture/lab course is the second part of the process of collision repair. Topics will include metal/aluminum straightening, application of body repair materials, plastic repair, adhesive bonding, automotive foams, restoring corrosion protection, and wind noise/water leaks.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- repair damaged metal and aluminum parts;
- proper application, sanding, and preparation of body repair materials;
- repair plastic parts using adhesive, airless welding, and nitrogen welding;
- perform adhesive bonding methods on metal and aluminum;
- remove and replace the different automotive foams;
- restore corrosion protection during and after repairs; and
- diagnose and repair wind, noise, and water leaks.
