CT 210 - Automotive Refinishing Basics Credit Hours: 2
This lecture/lab course will involve the primary steps in the refinishing process. Topics included will be preparation for topcoat, undercoat classification, and application, aspects of color theory, and solvent and water-born topcoat systems.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- explain the aspects of color theory;
- interpret the information found in Technical Data Sheets;
- properly prepare different substrates for topcoat application;
- know the different undercoat classifications and the various methods of application; and
- locate the vehicle’s paint code.
