MH 208 - Industrial PLC Integration


Credit Hours: 4

This course will provide a thorough hands-on experience in using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) for manufacturing automation and system integration. 
Students will study various advanced PLC instructions, PLC motor control, PLC event sequencing, multi-actuator sequencing and mode control, HMI operation, and component and system troubleshooting. 

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

  1. Examine advanced PLC instructions.
  2. Describe event sequencing for the PLC in an automated system.
  3. Perform component and system troubleshooting with the PLC automated system.
  4. Design PLC projects with technical reports and presentations.
