EN 120 - Composition and Occupational Communication Credit Hours: 3
Development of skills in writing, reading, speaking and critical thinking. Students will have written and oral practice in a variety of business and technical reports.
Fulfills SUNY General Education – Basic Communication.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- identify essential elements of oral and written communication;
- utilize essential elements of communication including semantics and syntax;
- identify the differences and similarities of non technical and technical writing;
- write reports identifying an audience and purpose, with few grammatical errors;
- demonstrate the writing process through research and reports; and
- deliver and analyze an oral presentation.
