This course introduces the basic principles, procedures and methods of records and information storage, control, retrieval, and management. Practical applications of manual and computerized filing are utilized to acquaint students with the current methods and systems used. Topics will include indexing and alphabetizing procedures, legal and ethical matters in records and information management, managing electronic files, utilizing electronic databases, and safety and security issues.
