AU 271 - Lab for Automotive Air Conditioning and Heating Credit Hours: 2
Practical application of lecture topics related to cooling, heating and air conditioning. The diagnosing and repair of temperature control and air flow control of the heating and cooling systems.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify components of an automotive air conditioning system;
- diagnose, inspect, remove, replace, rebuild, clean, adjust, test, and repair air conditioning and heating systems and components;
- interpret manufacturer’s manuals and specifications;
- select and use proper tools, equipment, and materials needed to perform required job tasks; and
- demonstrate the use of special equipment, such as the Recovery/Recycling/Recharging Station in the diagnosis and repair of air conditioning systems and components.
