EL 274 - Internship Credit Hours: 3
The cooperative/internship is designed to provide job-success skills and on-the-job work experience in local electronics industries. The course emphasizes job search techniques, resume preparation, effective interviews, self-assessment and improvement, motivation, interpersonal skills, time management, and problem resolution. Working in a local industry may provide a job opportunity or at least improve the resume by providing job experience.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- complete a job application, including a cover letter and resume;
- apply basic electronics technology skills on the job; and
- demonstrate the ability to accept and utilize constructive criticism to perform more effectively on the job.
Prerequisites: 2.0 GPA, completion of first-year EET courses, recommendation by the EET Department Chair, and acceptance by a local employer or an ECC Department that can provide electronics/computer work experience. F/S (N)
