GL 160 - Physical Geology Credit Hours: 3
A study of the methods of formation and modification of the Earth. Topics include the composition of the crust, external processes, erosion, structural geology, minerals, and rocks. There may be required or optional field trips scheduled. GL 160 with GL 161 satisfies the lecture-laboratory requirements for science and non-science majors.
Course Outcomes Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- explain and demonstrate the basic laws of nature;
- explain and apply the laws of nature as they pertain to society and the environment; and
- use basic mathematical skills and techniques in solving problems.
