Program Description

The Estimator microcredential will provide individuals with the knowledge to enter the construction or facilities management field at an entry-level position. These courses would allow a student to continue their education at SUNY Erie in either Building Management and Trades or Construction Management areas.

 

Admission Requirements

Admission Criteria include:

  • High school degree or HSE (High School Equivalency)

Outcomes

Upon completion of the Estimator Microcredential, students will be able to:

  • estimate and schedule the labor, materials, and equipment necessary to manage construction renovation-restoration project and facilities operations;  
  • Develop an understanding of project, property, and supervision management for scheduling that includes the knowledge of the employment requirements, service contracts, and financial documents that impact workloads, daily operations, and capital improvements; and
  • read and interpret blueprints.
