Construction of dental prostheses including long span bridges, crowns, splints and precision attachments.

Course Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

mount practical cases on the semi-adjustable articulator;
describe casting problems and how to correct them;
construct a 3-unit broken stress bridge with mini rest attachment;
identify margins;
describe a semi-precision attachment;
describe a full-precision attachment;
desribe a two-piece crown (post core and crown);
describe a one-piece post crown;
list spruing and investing procedures; and
translate prescriptions.
